The people at Talgarth are the heart of what we do. We focus on a young person’s strengths, talents and abilities as well as working with them to overcome difficulties and develop new skills.
Staff in the home work to promote young people’s wellbeing, by building reliable and trusting relationships and by providing a wide range of interesting and worthwhile activities. These activities, such as residential holidays, trips in caravans and even trips to America, develop young people’s strengths and abilities as well as their relationships with staff members.
All the young people will have their own designated key worker who will support them with all aspects of their care. They each have their own bedrooms that they can personalise and make their own.
Talgarth is situated just off campus of Headlands School a short walk from Penarth town Centre. The home creates a warm and nurturing environment for three young people.
